2012 Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week
Registrations open online on the 1st February 2012.

The free 2012 Australia Post Kids Teaching Kids Week program supports schools and students as they develop workshops to find solutions to environmental problems.  Last year there were hundreds of community members such as NRM agencies, local councils, zoos, businesses and industry experts who eagerly assisted those schools taking part in the Kids Teaching Kids program. In 2012 we are pleased to be offering $330 Teacher Relief Funding grants and $550 Cluster Event grants to financially assist schools involved in the program. Program date: 27-31 August 2012

2012 Melbourne Water International Kids Teaching Kids Conference

Registration opens for all Waterwatch schools February 1st. All other schools can register from February 13th 2012.

This event will allow students not only from Melbourne, but also from across Australia and the world to look at whole of catchment issues and ideas. Students from around the country and the world will bring local stories about their environments to the conference, after many months of research and planning with expert mentors. This event will also allow for the development of cross-state and cross-curriculum materials, processes, presentation materials and networks of professionals and teachers interested in water education and or natural resource management in general. The dates chosen 14-16 October 2012 see it align as a potential partner event for National Water Week.
