Energy-efficient concept car competition

STAV and Greenfleet are running the Energy efficient concept car competition for the third time in 2008. This is a FREE competition that lets science &/or technology students shine in ways that they may not normally get a chance to. Students work in groups to draw up a concept plan of an energy efficient low carbon emission car using currently available technologies and fuels. The group size is 3-9 members. The students must be in years 8, 9 or 10.

The competition ties in with VELS philosophy - it requires students to develop social relationships in their work, broaden their knowledge of force and energy, investigate emerging sciences and technology, and consider environmental sustainability.
